Camping Tents, What You Should Consider Before Buying

first thing to think about when planning a camping trip and buying the tents and other camping equipment,is the weather. One vacation, about 9 months after my son was born, we decided to go tent camping at Stone mountain, georgia. The campground was great, the camping sites were good, but about half way through the week, the temperature had risen to over 100 degrees around atlanta.

Can you say heat rash? A nine month old and hot humid weather just don't mix. We did have a good time, even though we did have to go to a hotel for the hottest night to get some relief. Being from florida, we thought that we would be able to handle the heat, but for some reason, I had never been that hot before. So we learned to check the weather, for extremes of heat and cold.

But, everyone that loves nature and enjoys the outdoors and who loves nothing better than to rest his or her head on the tent floor, well not exactly on the floor, will surely consider buying camping tents as a very important part of outdoor adventure. Myself, I like some comfort, so thick mats or cots are in order. It follows that you should make a concerted effort in researching the available camping tents and also checks whether the camping tents you are interested in will be good for the type of camping area you are going to pitch the tent on.

When choosing your camping tent, in addition to the weather check out other important factors, such as danger from wildlife and what you can expect the recreational facilities will be. Camping tents are ideal also for those that do not like the idea of sleeping in sleeping bags out in the open.

Obviously, if your camping tent is to be used on a hike, your tent has to be lightweight and easily packed in. But, most of us will be camping with our car, SUV or truck. So, make sure that you check out the size of the camping tent, which should comfortably hold the people who are going to be using it. If you choose large ones then make sure that they can be pitched in the areas where you are going camping, but that should not be a problem if you are staying at a campground.

Back to my first point of the weather, another thing you need to consider is where you are going camping and choose the camping tent that is suitable for the region. You would need a completely different type of tent if you are going to alaska than if you were heading for the Mojave Desert.

For an Alaskan camping excursion you would require camping tents that are very thick as well as durable, and which have enough strength to withstand the elements. On the other hand, camping tents used for places like the Mojave desert, though they must be strong should also not be very thick as you will feel suffocated inside the hot surroundings if there is not proper ventilation provided. Most of us, will probably not be camping in the extremes of weather, though, so choosing a tent good for moderate temperatures is the best idea.

Another important consideration when choosing camping tents is the cost involved. You can buy a tent that only costs only a few hundred dollars, but others can cost a few thousand and it really depends on the quality, size, strength as well as manufacturer. As everyone who has bought camping tents will have realized, they are a great purchase and will be your first step in having many wonderful vacations for years.

Choosing the Right Golf Carts

Depending on which courses you are playing, renting a golf cart may make getting from one hole to another much easier. Because golf courses can be spread out over many acres of land, golf carts make transporting people, golf equipment, and other items more enjoyable than having to carry them from hole to hole. Because golfers want to spend the majority of their time on the course golfing instead of walking, renting a cart is advised.

If you are playing on a smaller course, you may not need to rent a cart. Carrying your equipment or renting a small push cart may be all you will need. These carts, even though they are small, can carry a lot of weight, so dont worry about not being able to fit all of your stuff into it. Small groups should consider renting push carts for each player so that it is easy to get from one hole to another. Some golf bags have wheels on them for courses like these, so you may not have to rent any type of cart at all.

Those who golf often and those who live on or near golf courses will sometimes buy their own golf carts and keep them at their homes. This is very convenient for those who golf everyday. When purchasing a golf cart, find one that is large enough for your needs and one that has an extensive warranty because you never know what will happen in the future. Read through the warranty carefully to see if the cart needs to be taken to a specific repair shop or if you can take it anywhere for repairs.

Owning a golf cart means you need to take care of it as you would a small car. Regular oil changes, engine cleanings, and tire checks are necessary in order to keep it in good shape for a long time. You will appreciate having a golf cart when friends or family visit so you can take them golfing. Cleaning the upholstery often will prevent scratches, tears, and discoloration. store your cart in a garage or keep it covered so you dont run the exterior.

Additional accessories you may need include batteries, headlight covers, canopy covers, and additional storage for clubs, water, and other items you may want to take with you. Since a round of golf can take a few hours to complete, you should bring enough water and other items like a map of Alicante area with you so everyone will have a good time and remain hydrated.

Manuel Uribe, Heaviest Man On Earth

Manuel Uribe, born in Monterrey, mexico is not just any other ordinary man on the street. He holds the distinction of being the heaviest man on earth. He weights 560 kg (over 1200 pounds.) To get a feel of exactly how heavy he is, you need imagine an adult male, and another, and another, and another (this can go on for a little while more) He is almost as heavy as seven adult men.

Manuel Uribe, I take one day at a time. The doctors told me I had a choice. To choose life or to choose death. I chose life.

According to Duncan Kennedy, a BBC reporter, Manuel Uribe is surprisingly not depressed, rather he's happy,

At his peak, he weighed 560kg, or 1234lb, or 88st. That's half a ton. Small Japanese cars come in lighter.

I got a shock when I first met Manuel. He'd agreed to meet us at his home in Monterrey, northern mexico.

I had expected him to be closeted in an upstairs bedroom, out of sight. But no. These days you could not meet a more engaging, funny and contented man.

And the cause of his new found happiness? His weight loss.

In the past year, Manuel has shed 180kg/400lbs off his body, thats almost equivalent to two full grown man climbing out of his body!

Lack of Discipline or a Genetic Problem The question here boils down to this, is it even possible to eat till a state where you end up weighing 1200 pounds? This man here is not a kid like 400 Pounds jessica, he's a grown man who is aware of his doings and even has a supportive mother who cooks his meals daily for this bed-ridden soul.

doctors think that there might be a fault in his genes which triggered the inflammation of his molecular structure, therefore causing him to gain weight uncontrollably.

We Dont Have an Explanation Dr. Jaime Gonzalez makes house calls to Uribe once a week. His goal: to help his patient lose 1,000 pounds. Uribe's legs and lower body are massaged daily to improve blood circulation. Amazingly, Manuel is perfect health despite his massive weight!

He has no high blood pressure, no high cholesterol, no triglycerides, and no diabetes. simply put, he's a healthy man who is just, well, overweight.

The zone diet Everything Manuel eats now is calculated down to the last detail, literally. His nutritionist says that the diet focuses on controlling his hormones.

"It's about controlling his hormones," says Alejandra Garcia, one of Manuel's nutritionists.

A sample of Manuels meal right now includes a sumptuous bowl of fish soup, complete with large chunks of fish. Followed by this is a grapefruit, half an apple and ending it off with 18 peanuts. Yes, 18 peanuts.

I Choose Life Manuel Uribe, I take one day at a time. The doctors told me I had a choice. To choose life or to choose death. I chose life.

With his life getting back on track, Manuel now has a girlfriend and even wants to have children. He has his own website and has started a Foundation to spread the word that weigh loss for obese people is possible. He has also bought himself a giant massage machine to maintain the circulation in the legs as he can no longer close or move them.

Manuel says his aim is to get down to 120kg/264lbs.

His battle to be normal has touched us and in time, we hope he will motivate you too!
